Car #32: The University of Portland's 2007 SAE-Baja car placed 56th overall in the Mini-Baja West competition in Rapid City organized by South Dakota School of Mines. The car had lots of room for improvement so we decided to make a changes to improve its drivability and ground clearance. Once these issues get resolved it is essential that testing car is tested for reliability.

Car #17: Design started early this school year and a few major design criteria was found to be needed for this years car. The car needs to be simple, lightweight, easily repaired, and contain unitized construction methods. We have used CVT's in the past and there has never been enough time for tuning and testing. This year we are going to try and use a manual transmission and see how it will work. Going to SDSM last year help with getting different ideas we wanted to incorporate in this years car and yet still be completely original. Simplicity starts with a single A-arm front suspension, full trailing arm rear suspension, and a bell crank for steering.
