News and Updates

Big Game at Delta Park

Portland lacrosse is back on track after a rough trip to Orange County.  After a long drive to Caldwell Idaho, Portland lacrosse is now 2-0 in conference and looking forward to playing next weekend. The next game is the conference championship rematch against Western Oregon.  The game has been moved to 7 pm Saturday (April 8) at delta park ( only a 10 minute drive from campus).  Western Oregon always travels well, so  a good fan turnout could be the difference in the game

The Home Stretch

Portland lacrosse had a tough road trip in California and is now focusing on finishing the season strong.  There are only three games remaining and playoff seeding is on the line.  Next week, the team has a long drive out to College of Idaho and then plays the division champions on April 14th at home.

Strong Start to Spring Ball

Portland lacrosse started the year with a disappointing performance against a strong Missionary team, but rebounded the next weekend with two impressive performances against PLU and Humboldt State.  The team has been gearing up for a game this week against their in town rivals.  The game is Saturday the 18th at 1 on Portland State’s turf field.

Fall Ball Recap

Portland lacrosse had a productive and memorable fall ball season this year.  In the Laredo Tournament, the team played six games in two days and finished with 4 wins and 2 losses.  It was great for the team to get back on the field again.

A few weeks later, the team traveled down to Salem to play Southern Oregon and Willamette University.  The team ended up winning both games that day.  The entire team gives a big hand to Willamette for hosting a great event.  The next day, Oregon State was kind enough to travel to Prusynski Field for a rainy Sunday afternoon scrimmage. The teams ended up playing four periods with the Beavers winning 11-8.
